public space-fabrizio masala Introduction: Our topic is mobility. To study the issue of mobility we took into account several factors: population, surrounding buildings and their use and mode of travel. By studying the population and its movements within the city that we have identified for us was the area under study. As can be seen from the graph in the first table are very present in trips made by private cars, motorcycles and cars and even smaller percentage of public transport. Other data were considered: vehicles per capita consumption of soil both in Italy and in the town of Sassari and the data of the population age pyramid and population growth. Predictions: In 2050, the mobility will be environmentally sustainable, private cars will be present but in small quantities and will be sharing systems of transport like car sharing and bike sharing that will allow people to travel. Purchase value even pedestrian mobility The cars will be as stated ecological and all electric powered by renewable energy sources and will be very technologically advanced. Problems / challenges: The main problem is the excessive number of moves dictated by necessity because of the mono-functional area. Currently they only exist in this area of public offices and residential buildings, all separated by an impressive road that separates the spaces them hierarchically Vision 2050: Our vision for 2050 is influenced by the type of transport. The public space will be all on the same level to create a sort of square which will pass over the car but also the pedestrian-priority areas and no longer a hierarchy according to function. The buildings surrounding the square will relate to and communicate with the space in order to perceive a unique environment and not see the square as a space of separation between buildings. being the square on the same level there will be "barriers" which prevent me from seeing so anywhere you are in the square must be see 360 °, this to have a social control within the area to provide security and allow to decide where to go with minimal travel. This is possible because the buildings will be multi-functional and will host more functions within them.
